Sweeties!
Caleb has been quite attached to the penguin he got from Santa at the tree lighting night of horror thing. But then we lost it like good parents do. He will not stop talking about Sweetie. Last week my sister and niece both had birthdays and each time we called to wish them a happy birthday Caleb told us it was Sweeties birthday. He would not stop, so we spent the $5 for a new one and threw him a birthday party.
We had leftover german chocolate cake, Sweetie needed her own plate and fork.

We got a dollar store balloon for the occasion too. Caleb was so happy to celebrate his best buddies birthday finally!
Oh it might also be a big birthday for my father today too (though everyone in his family lives into their 90s so I think he has another decade or two before they really are a big deal :)
We are so sad we weren't able to make it down for the party, but celebrated it with him while he was up here. Caleb absolutely loves his Paka (and Paka's trains). Caleb will still tell me about when Paka baby-sat for him back in May and took him to the park. He is a great dad too and has been very supportive of us as a family. Here are my two favorite pictures of Caleb and my dad.
My dad told me today that he forgot what Caleb looked like without hair-he looks like you dad! haha :)
