field trip

After much debate we decided to put Caleb into a real preschool this semester. We are so glad that we did! We know last semester was a little too crazy with traveling that it is probably good we didn't do it then, but it has been so great this year.

I love this school because it is like a charter preschool. There is a board, and monthly parent meetings. The parents take turns helping in the classroom, and just play a big role in what happens which I love!

They do field trips about twice a month. Parents are required to attend. Caleb really didn't want us to attend. He kept saying "leave mom and dad preschool is for kids not parents." We spent most the field trip hiding behind walls and taking pictures like a good stalker.

They had been learning about healthy bodies so they went to a gym (kind of the most dated gym ever, but Caleb loved it).

And then the grocery store. They were very adamant that the kids keep their hands to themselves (makes sense four year olds and baked goods don't mix well). Caleb was so good and kept his hands pressed together the whole time.

Each kid got to take a turn at the register. Caleb loved it!

His second field trip of the month was to the dentist and boy did he have a personality shift. He wouldn't let go of me. The only way he would get on the chair was by sitting on my lap. Just like his momma he prefers the gym to the dentist!

We love this preschool. Sadly we only have a month left. John got selected for training in Alabama from March-May. Caleb and I have decided to go with him. This is just general officer training, every Captain has to do it. We still have no idea whatsoever about what his next career will be, where we are moving or when. As of right now we will be coming back here after training. Hopefully wherever we move has a preschool as cool as this one!

I love his penguin hat. So cute. You are much nicer than me. Parents have to go on Jonathan's field trips too and we've only been on one this entire year :). That's not really like me. Caleb's field trips are much better! Love that they got to work the register and everything! I'm glad preschool has been a good experience!
